Read the sermon text: Romans 1:16-19; 3:19-20, 8:1-2
Read the sermon summary: This Sunday, we will be taking a step back from the individual trees of Romans to get a view of the forest up to this point (chapters 1-8). We will attempt to bring everything together so that we might have a unified understanding of all the parts we have seen. We will see, once again, the thesis of the entire letter in Romans 1:16-17 concerning the good news of “the righteousness of God by faith from first to last.” What is this righteousness of God by faith and how is it revealed? Further, what is the power of this righteousness of God by faith for believers? In other words, what does it mean regarding our relationship with God?
