Read the sermon summary: How can we be a part of advancing God’s kingdom? Yes, we know that it is God’s work. But we also know that, in his kindness, he has included us in his mission of making his name known. In our text for Palm Sunday, we see that Christ is growing his kingdom; but he uses surprising strategies. In preparation for the sermon, consider the following questions: What Old Testament quotation does John use in verse fourteen? What might be the relationship between verses twenty-two and twenty-three (Andrew and Philip’s words to Jesus and Jesus’s answer)? What does it mean to hate one’s life in this world?
