What we believe
Clear convictions.
A gracious welcome.
Jesus Christ is at the center of our faith. These beliefs guide our worship, teaching, relationships, and mission. We want to explain them plainly and live them with humility and love.
You do not need to have every question answered before you visit. We welcome honest questions and thoughtful conversations about faith.
01The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word. It is our final authority for what we believe and how we live. We seek to understand Scripture faithfully, teach it clearly, and obey it in every area of life.
Scripture 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105
02The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in the Trinity: one God eternally existing in three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, equal in deity and glory, sharing the one divine nature. God is the Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, love, wisdom, and justice. He deserves our worship, trust, and obedience.
Scripture Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
03Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven. Jesus is Lord, the Head of the Church, and the only Savior.
Scripture John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Colossians 1:18
04The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit brings new life, lives within believers, and helps us understand and obey God’s Word. He shapes our character, gives gifts for serving others, and empowers the Church to bear witness to Jesus.
Scripture John 14:26; Romans 8:9–14; 1 Corinthians 12:4–7; Acts 1:8
05Humanity and sin
We believe every person is created in God’s image and has inherent dignity and worth. All of us have sinned and fall short of God’s holiness. Sin separates us from God, and we cannot restore that relationship through our own goodness or effort.
Scripture Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23
06Salvation by grace through faith
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection provide forgiveness and reconciliation with God. We are saved through Christ, rather than by earning God’s favor through good works.
Scripture Ephesians 2:8–10; Romans 5:8–11; Acts 20:21
07New life and everyday discipleship
We believe those who trust Christ receive new life and a new identity in Him. Through the Holy Spirit, believers can grow in holiness and resist sin. We still face temptation and need grace, repentance, and accountability as we learn to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Scripture Romans 6:4–14; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:16–25
08The Church
We believe the Church belongs to Jesus and is made up of people redeemed by Him. We gather for worship, biblical teaching, prayer, fellowship, and service. Leaders are called to meet biblical character qualifications, shepherd with humility, and equip every believer for ministry.
Scripture Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16; 1 Timothy 3:1–13
09Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe Jesus calls His Church to practice baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism publicly identifies a disciple with Christ. The Lord’s Supper helps us remember His sacrifice, examine our hearts, and proclaim His death until He returns.
Scripture Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–29
10Marriage, family, and the next generation
We believe marriage and family are gifts to be cherished and nurtured with faithfulness, sacrificial love, and care. Parents have a central responsibility to teach their children to follow Jesus. The Church partners with families and cares for people in every season of life.
Scripture Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Ephesians 5:21–33; Ephesians 6:1–4; Psalm 78:4–7
11Our mission
We believe Jesus sends His people to make disciples of all nations. We share the gospel clearly, love our neighbors practically, and help others learn to obey Him. Our mission begins in our homes and community and reaches outward to the nations.
Scripture Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Matthew 22:37–39
12Christ’s return and our hope
We believe Jesus will return in glory, judge the living and the dead, and fulfill God’s purposes. Our hope is eternal life with Him. We seek to live faithfully today as we look forward to His return.
Scripture Acts 1:11; 2 Timothy 4:1; John 3:16; Revelation 21:1–5
We welcome questions about Jesus, the Bible, and the vision for Christ Church. We would love to listen, open Scripture together, and help you take your next step.
