A family.
A calling.
A new beginning.
Meet the Moores and the heart behind Christ Church.
Meet John and Cassie.
We’re John and Cassie Moore, and our children are Kynslee and Judah. You’ll often hear John called “PJ”—short for Pastor John. We’re preparing to begin a new chapter of ministry in Indiana, planting Christ Church in the Lawrenceburg area.
A life shaped by the local church.
John grew up in a pastor’s home in Ohio and studied at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. His ministry journey has included seven years as a youth pastor at ONE CHURCH in Fairfield, Ohio, followed by nearly nine years as senior pastor of Oak Lake Baptist Church in Sugar Land, Texas.
Those years have shaped a conviction that continues to guide us: ministry means helping people follow Jesus and equipping them to help others do the same.
A calling to begin again.
As we have prayed and sought the Lord’s direction, we believe the Holy Spirit has been leading us to plant a church in Indiana. We’re stepping toward that calling with gratitude for the churches and people who have shaped our lives, and with hope for what God will do next.
Christ Church belongs to Jesus. Our desire is to build a community where His Word is faithfully taught, people find new life in Him, and disciples learn to love, serve, and make disciples.
Our mission
Make disciples who make disciples.
We want this mission to shape everyday life—in our homes, our relationships, our work, and the way we love our neighbors.

We plan to begin gathering in a barn in the Lawrenceburg area. The service times, gathering address, and public launch date are to be determined. We’re preparing, building relationships, and inviting people to become part of the beginning.
There is room to pray, serve, learn, and help. Our Essentials resource hub gives future volunteers a place to explore ministry roles, training, and the heart behind Christ Church.
